Seeing as Kevin seems to think there is an NDA for Windows Vista, could anyone point it out to me? As far as I know (including Andre I believe on this matter), we don't seem to think there is one.

NDA clarifications?
As I previously said, There is one for the TAP Beta Tester's, which includes anyone who has access to an Interim Build that is not labeled as a CTP Build! This includes Build 5342 and the Technical Tester's!

Feel free to point out where this NDA is then - links, screenshots, something which we can visit and look for ourselves? I don't think any of us would want to break NDA, so feel free to help us with this one Kevin.

There is no information in the End User License Agreement notifying us that build 5342 is covered under NDA. (I just checked - Win Key + R > type in WinVer > click the EULA link) The NDA you are referring to covers dicussions made in the Technical Private Newsgroups and certain parts of Microsoft Connect. Internal Builds and certain builds distributed to some Microsoft TAP Customers are also covered under NDA.
What is confusing you is the fact that you did not receive 5342 from MSDN, so you are assuming its under NDA. Its not, Microsoft distributed this build only to Tech Testers and TAP Customers because its not a build of quality similar to a Customer Technology Preview. Its just a snap shot preview showing a glimpse of whats taking place in the development towards BETA 2. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

TAP testers don't necesarily get the internal builds - the whole point of internal builds is that they never leave the building. Where's the NDA for standard technical testers then Kevin?

Since you do not have access to the recent changes, you may not be aware of what can or can not be talked about. Please stop with the NDA things for Vista Beta Progam.

"I am 100% sure" Then you are 100% wrong.
Do one of two things to prove your point which it seems you alone believe: 1. Post a link to the current source. Something outdated or not applicable to this specific Beta is not relevant since different programs and Betas have different rules. 2. Contact Microsoft with your complaints and have then show where you are correct. If you can not do either of the above, that helps prove your complaint wrong.

What does losing your job have to do with dropping out of the BETA Program? Its not like it required subscription which you are paid for through MSDN! -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
"Kevin John Panzke" wrote in message I don't have access to the Windows Vista Beta on Microsoft Connect anymore (ever since I dropped out of the Beta, due to both losing my Job at Home Depot, and for Personal Reasons), however, I am 100% sure that Microsoft does NOT want you guys to be talking about any Releases that are NOT Released to either MSDN or the General Public.

I didn't sign or see any NDA for the beta program I'm in and we have access to 5342.

Just want him to realise that there's no links out there relating to the NDA so hopefully he'll realise his own mistakes... but good point.
